Born and raised in Toronto, Canada – Dave Martin has been a standup comedian for over two decades beginning in 1997.
Dave has performed at many comedy festivals including the Just for Laughs, NxNE Music & Comedy Festival and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.
In 2001 Dave earned his own hour-long standup comedy special with Comedy Now! on the CTV Television’s Comedy Network.
In 2008 Dave made it to the Toronto finals of the sixth season of Last Comic Standing on NBC.
For 4 years, starting in 2010, Dave co-hosted and produced “Anything Goes with Dave Martin & Darren Frost” on SIRIUS/XM Radio which was nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Radio Program (the only show to do this in the history of SiriusXM).
In 2013 while at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival he also recorded Season 7, episode 29 of CBC Radio’s “The Debaters” entitled “Government Pot & Leftovers”.
He then produced and hosted “The Guilty Pleasures Podcast”.
In 2014 Dave Martin performed at the New Years Eve Gala at the historic Toronto venue Massey Hall.
In late 2017 Dave started “The No Wrong Answers Comedy Podcast”.
Dave Martin is a regular at Canadian comedy clubs – coast to coast.
